Finding the right therapist is critical in helping you resolve the issues you would like to work on, so please feel free to call me to discuss your questions and concerns to determine if I can be helpful. If not, I would be happy to make referrals. Please call me at (650) 523-4553.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and work to help people improve their relationships and achieve personal growth. I work with individual adults, adolescents and children as well as couples and families.
For the last seven years I have worked at local Bay Area schools as a counselor and developed expertise in treating children with anxiety, depression, ADHD, social issues, academic problems, and family and adjustment issues. I work closely with the resource/special education teams and classroom teachers and am passionate about supporting children with learning differences. I provide individual and family therapy and also work with parents. My therapeutic approach combines components of Strength Based Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Therapy.
I also have a private practice working with individual adults, adolescents, and children, and couples and families. Childhood memories and life experiences can shape our current thoughts and behavior. Although this behavior may have been a benefit in past situations, it sometimes creates a feeling of being stuck in the present. I can help you identify healthy ways of coping with current relationships by helping to clarify your thoughts and feelings to change behaviors that are impeding growth and intimacy.
My office is located in San Mateo, California, which is conveniently located off the 101 and 280, and near San Bruno, Millbrea, Hillsborough, Burlingame, Foster City, Belmont, and San Carlos.
